Obtained in the year 1914
I passed the Preliminary Examination for the Certificate given by the London Institute for Crechework.
I passed in the year 1914 the Board of Education's Final Examination in Studies in Training Colleges, being recognised as a Certified Teacher from 1st August.
In this final Examination, I passed all Compulsory Subjects and also pursued an advanced course of English Literature and Drawing, which allowed me to specialise in either of these subjects.
I have had 4 years 4 months experience in Teaching Boys and Girls in both Council Schools - Milton Council School, Portsmouth in the Junior Standards; Binto Council School, Fratton, Portsmouth in the Senior Standards for Girls.
Through shortage of staff, I was sent to Council School, Omique St, Portsmouth to teach Boys' Class IV.
I have been in this school ever since, owing to my youth and inexperience.
